EAMS Results - July 22, 2017

Recap of racing from EAMS 7/22/17:
EAMS Late Models - 25 Laps:
1 - #55 Montana Dudley qualified at 16.19 to take the pole and led every lap to pick up his first win of the season.
2 - #7 Tyler Thomason started 5th, moved to P3 on lap 1 and took P2 on lap 20 for his best finish this season.
3 - #14 Patrick Wall started 4th, struggled early dropping back to 7th at one point before rallying back to 5th on lap 16 and P3 on lap 20 tying his best finish of the season.
4 - #18 Thomas Mewborn started 7th in his first appearance at EAMS this season, worked his way up to P4 before pitting with a flat mid-race and then rallying back to 4th.
5 - #K9 Dana Eiland started outside pole, battled back and forth with Thomason for 2nd and 3rd until running off the track entering turn 3 with 5 to go, then worked his way back up into the top 5.  Leads the championship by over 100 points now.

602 Late Model Sportsman - 25 Laps:
1 - #00 Richie Stephens started outside pole and led every lap to continue his dominance in his last 6 appearances.
2 - #8G Bubba Gorman started 3rd and battled with #50 Steven Gaines and #111 Jackson Thomason all race long.  Extended his points lead to almost 200 points.
3 - #24 Justin Thornton started 4th and fell all the way to the rear of the pack early, moved steadily up through the pack and took P3 on the final lap when Thomason ran off the track in turn 1 - his best finish of the season.
4 - #1 BW Hinson started 7th and ran in the back of the pack all race before moving up through attrition at the end.
5 - #53 Ronnie Hudson started 8th and struggled with handling all race before moving into the top 5 at the end due to attrition.

Hobby - 15 Laps:
1 - #6 Marty Beckwith started 2nd, dropped to P3 early, moved quickly back up to 2nd and then took the lead on lap 6 and pulled away for his 3rd win of the year.
2 - #99 Randy Renfroe started 5th and had possibly the fastest car on track, but was mired back in traffic and didn't get to P2 until lap 13.
3 - #29 Will Gordon start on pole, lead early, lost the lead on a lap 6 restart and fell to P3 on lap 13 - his 5th P3 finish of the year.
4 - #294 John Michael started 4th, fell to 6th on the start and slowly moved back up.  Leads the points by 81 now.
5 - #30 Tim Bosley started 3rd, took 2nd on the initial start, and fell to P5 by lap 9.

1 - #71 Grady Holmes started outside pole and won the race on lap 1 by beating McConnell into turn 1 - his 3rd win of the year.
2 - #24 Allen McConnell started on the pole, but lost the spot on the initial start - his 4th 2nd place finish this season - leads the points by almost 300 now.
3 - #72 Brandon Conner started 3rd and ran there all race.

Road Warrior - 15 Laps:
1 - #97 Derrick Pearce started on pole and lead them all for his 2nd win in a row.
2 - #1 Rickey Harrelson started 2nd and ran 2nd all race - extends his points lead to 170.
3 - #51 Daniel Britton started 3rd and ran 3rd all race.
4 - #02 Jeff Stone started 4th and ran 4th all race.
5 - #9 Jeff Koffman did not start.

Hot Shots - 12 Laps:
1 - #11 Clint Thornton started on pole and led every lap, but it wasn't without constant challenges on every lap from #1 Johnathan Merritt - his 1st win.
2 - #1 Johnathan Merritt started 3rd, took P2 on lap 2 and challenged Thornton EVERY lap for the rest of the race.
3 - #2 Patrick Harrellson started 5th, fell to 7th on the start, then steadily worked his way toward the front moving into P3 on lap 9.
4 - #21 Hobo Bosley started 18th and was the big mover of the night storming his way through the field taking P4 on lap 9 - 14 positions in 9 laps.
5 - #7 Stormie Cowart started 7th and ran consistently all race long taking P5 on lap 9. 
Points leader #J38 Jayce Swint broke early in the evening and did a "start and park", but still maintains a lead of more than 100 points - has struggled with mechanical problems since winning his 1st race on 6/17.
